2019 2020 was a challenging year for school leadership withe the onset of Covid-19 but our Governing Body were accessible and committed to maintaining safety and high standards.
Meetings were conducted virtually from Spring onwards and the Full Governing Body were involved in risk assessment and strategic planning for schools return. I would like to thank them on behalf of school for their dedication and commitment to our wonderful school.
Mt Tommy Wilson and Mrs P Aspden were awarded long servivce award From Lancashire County Council for their service to school governance.
In November 2022, we had a change of Chair voted after our longstanding Chair, Mr Tommy Wilson stood down and Mrs Pam Aspden was voted as Chair.
We currently have no vacancies and all Governors have a specialist role.
They conduct monitoring of their focus area each year to ensure continuity of challenge and support and work alongside school staff. Each subject Governor meets with their subject leader every year and review the policy, overview, standards and delivery of their subjets. They reflect on the action plan and the impact on standards.
Governors set high standards for outcomes for children, make financially prudent decisions and are 100% committed to the continued success of our school. We are extremely grateful for their time and commitment to their role.
