TARDIS - Develop
The third strand of our cluster of schools is CPD for staff and leadership to support and develop individuals within the cluster.
This is a time and financial commitment that has had the most significant impact to our school. As a small school we have benefitted from the cluster procurement of CPD and it has allowed our staff to access high quality national CPD for a fraction of the cost. It has enabled Bretherton staff to be 'on the pulse' of the new EIF and underpinned our forward thinking plans for school. It has enabled progression of subject leaders and upskilled staff in the research linked to teaching and learning , namely from the EEF.
We too have been material in providing the skills within the cluster through participating and sharing best practice at subject leader and moderation meetings, hosting and leading subject leader sessions and facilitating school to school support with key expertise held within school. Namely EYFS, KS1 and KS2 moderators for LA and Assessment team.
Planned CPD is:
- dyslexia friendly classroom
- Governor safeguarding training
- Paediatric first aid
