Class 4 transition to year 7 work

Please find all information on transition documents Mrs Smith explained would be available.

Hello Class 4,

I have set some home learning tasks for you over the summer, which you may choose to do, to keep your brains ticking along. The tasks I have selected for you are based on our discussions in class and the things you said you would like to work on in preparation for year 7. The video links we discussed are attached to this page and I have also attached revision power points. I hope you find them useful. Also if you log in to your homework area I have left work relating to a topic with a Science and Literacy theme. I hope you find this helpful.

In addition, I am aware many of you have got transition tasks from your High school to complete, please chat to your parents and complete the tasks which are right for you, remember the tasks I have set are just helpful options. The summer is also a time for fun and relaxation, a time to reconnect with friends and your wider family. You have all worked so hard over the last few months in very unusual circumstances. All of you have shown great resilience: adapting marvelously to working from home and coming back to school accepting the differences in your year 6 experience with great maturity.

Once again well done for your sensible approach in school over the last few weeks, whilst we have unpacked our lockdown experiences and emotions, hopefully, the wellbeing strategies we have been learning about will continue to help as you journey through life.

If you have any questions or if I can help in any way please just ask, and in September at High school your tutor will be there for you too, to help you and to answer any of your questions.

Best wishes to you and your families

Mrs. Smith
