Class 2 fire service visit

Date: 24th Mar 2025 @ 11:40am

Today, the fire service came to visit Class 2. They talked to the children about what to do if their clothes catch on fire, what to do if they find matches, and how to stay safe at home if there is a fire. They taught the children how to follow their home fire plan, how to check door handles with the back of their hand to make sure it's not hot, and to crawl out of a building that is in fire. The children know not to go back into a building that is on fire, no matter what, and to call 999 and ask for the fire service. We talked about how it is important to know your address and to have smoke alarms in your house.
Thank you to the fire fighters that came to visit us today! Our children learnt a lot!
