Apostrophe Treasure Hunt

Date: 29th Sep 2025 @ 11:08am

Today we enjoyed an apostrophe treasure hunt on the playground.

The children had to find all 20 sentences hidden around the playground and correctly identify the 10 sentences where the apostrophe was in the correct place within the sentence.

They then lastly had to solve the anagram of the letters on the correct sentences to spell the mystery word which was 'apostrophe'.

This activity got them moving and having fun whilst also working on their punctuation skills, we then went back into class to try writing our own sentences using apostrophes in our English books based on the book we've been reading in class.
