TARDIS - THRIVE

This strand of our cluster of schools is linked to fitness, sports- both competative and non competative and wellbeing. The Physical lead in each school meet termly to outline the skills and opportunity needs for the cohort of children within our schools.

A full program of events are planned each year with West Lancs Sports Partnership and offer our children enrichment in the area of physical literacy and skill. The festivals such as team building and curling offer sporting opportunities for children who may otherwise not access physical and sporting competitions and the leagues offer our children competition and challenge in similar and larger schools.

Developing our children through the dedication of training, coaching and leadership, our inclusion within this area ensures that we can confidently complete our schools games award at least to Gold statndard with high pupil participation.

Our inclusion, participation and successes can be seen on our sporting at Bretherton page.

This year we are proud tp be part of LES MILLS fitness programme for 12 weeks run through WLSP. This has offered children a real understanding of core fitness, stamina, healthy eating, mindfulness and yoga that will have far reaching impacts on their lives. Staff have enjoyed participating too for their own wellbeing and fitness.
