Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is an additional source of funding for children's education if they are eligible for Free School Meals because of parental income, have parents who are in the armed forces or who are Looked After by the local authority.  This funding is then spent on these children as described in our Pupil Premium Strategy.

We are passionate about ensuring that our Pupil Premium Pupil's are well supported through a range of targeted strategies which are reviewed regularly by Senior Leaders and Governors.  Strategies are evidenced based and our school leaders take into account national research as well as reviewing approaches that have been used in school to determine whether they have been effective for our children or not.

Our in-school champions are:

Mrs Alison Moxham, Headteacher

Mrs G LLoyd, Governor

Our Pupil Premium Strategy highlights the amount of funding we receive and our plans for spending for the school year.

In 2021 2022, our school will receive £17000 which includes children's entitlement to free school meals, ever- 6 - previously entitiled to FSM and post looked after children's entitlement. We have completed the Government's PPG strategy document and it is uploaded on this page. This also includes the priorities for National tutoring programme. We will receive the minimum £2000 for this and £800 for in school tutoring.

In 2020 - 2021 our school will receive £20458 which includes children's entitlement to free school meals, ever 6 - previously entitled to FSM and post looked after children's entitlement. Our plan is still under review in light of Covid -19 and return to school to ensure that we continue high quality provision for all children and specifically including these groups. Our strategy will be updated after approval by our Governors in November 2020.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact school for further information.

In 2019 20, our school will receive £14520 which includes children's entitlement to 'free school meals', ' Ever 6 - previously been entitled to FSM' and 'post looked after' children's entitlement.

We used this funding to ensure eligible pupils have additional support in school, whether that be working directly with specific children or reducing group sizes in the classes. We have also used this to support our families via extended services. We track our pupil premium children specifically each term. All children made at least expected progress.  All of the children are very happy, as evidenced in parental and pupil questionnaires.
