Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is an additional source of funding for children's education if they are eligible for Free School Meals because of parental income, have parents who are in the armed forces or who are Looked After by the local authority.  This funding is then spent on these children as described in our Pupil Premium Strategy.

We are passionate about ensuring that our Pupil Premium Pupil's are well supported through a range of targeted strategies which are reviewed regularly by Senior Leaders and Governors.  Strategies are evidenced based and our school leaders take into account national research as well as reviewing approaches that have been used in school to determine whether they have been effective for our children or not.

Our in-school champions are:

Mrs Jayne Clarke, Deputy Head; Alison Moxham , Headteacher

Mrs E Spencer, Governor

Our Pupil Premium Strategy highlights the amount of funding we receive and our plans for spending for the school year.

In 2023 2024, our school will receive £8150 which includes children's entitlement to free school meals, ever- 6 - previously entitiled to FSM and post looked after children's entitlement. We are continually reviewing our 3 year pupil premium strategy .

Our Covid catch up plans and impact statements are attached to this page. 2023 2024 recovery premium plans have been added to the pupil premium strategy.

Please see the letters attached and this page for information about how to register for Free School Meals especially at this time of challenges in household finances. Please contact the school office as we can help you make a phone call that will impact immediately if you are eligible.

In 2019 20, our school will receive £14520 which includes children's entitlement to 'free school meals', ' Ever 6 - previously been entitled to FSM' and 'post looked after' children's entitlement.

We used this funding to ensure eligible pupils have additional support in school, whether that be working directly with specific children or reducing group sizes in the classes. We have also used this to support our families via extended services. We track our pupil premium children specifically each term. All children made at least expected progress.  All of the children are very happy, as evidenced in parental and pupil questionnaires.

If you feel that you are entitled to Free school meals, please take a look at the letter for parents attached or please click on this link
