This year 2015/2016 and 2017/2018 we received a letter from Nick Gibb celebrating our school’s achievements in writing. We are delighted to share this with you.

We were delighted to be 73rd in the Primary School League tables in 2014/15. This is out of over 16,000 schools  and we have been recognised as one of the top performing schools in the country. Thank you to a wonderful school family. We are the only school in Lancashire to have been in the Top 100 schools for the last two years and one of only 9 in the country to do so.

In 2013 I received a letter from Rt Hon David Laws MP, Minister of State for Schools, congratulating us on the performance of our pupils. The letter stated:

‘Your results show that 100% of your pupils gained level 4B or above in reading and maths and level 4 or above in writing, this makes you one of only 159 schools in the country to achieve this level of attainment.’

Thank you to our hard working children, a great team and for all our school family for incredible support!

Recent success has been the renewal of the Basic Skills Quality Mark and also the accreditation of the Early Years Quality Mark.
