Equality Ambassadors

Our Equality Ambassadors have a great role in school reveiwing our policies , practices and opportunities to ensure that we are a fully inclusive school and are educating children on our diverse world. Through ensuring children know what protected characteristics are and how we need to ensure there is no prejudice or inequality that prevents everyone being the best they can be, our children are learning to navigate in our rich, diverse world and to be global citizens of the future.

In 202 2023, our Equality Ambassadors helped school achieve and evidence our bid for Lancashire Equality Awards for Race and Religion and Beliefs. In 2023 2024 we are working towards the Disability and Gender Equality Awards.

  • Feb 2024 we invited employees of The Rainbow Hub into school to lead a worship for whole school on their great work, charity fundraising and the importance of understanding equality for disabilities. Later this year we will hold a non uniform Rainbow clothes day to raise important funds for them as they build a new school. The ambassadors will also visit their nursery to see their work in action.
