Focus 2020 2021

After experiencing an unprecidented year due to Covid-19, many of the goals for 2019 2020 are needed to continue into this current year's school development plans. Our key areas are:

  • Supporting return to school post Covid -19 lockdown in relation to the education and wellbeing of our children and supporting the wellbeing of staff and families.
  • Subject leader and curriculum enrichment through our new curriculum Cornerstones
  • Development and outcomes in writing through school to promote stamina, creativity and skills in writing including spelling and handwriting
  • SEND progress and development
  • Progress towards the Arts Mark to celebrate our offering of the arts within our curriculum
  • Continued preparation and launch of the new statutory Relationship Education

This year we will continue to focus on inclusion and all our children are learning elements of British Sign Language- through songs, poetry and topics.

Our theme is 'Hakuna Matata' which means 'No Worries' ( Lion King Disney) as we know that children achieve and flourish when they are free from worry and anxiety. Success can be measured in resilience, creativity and independence and taking responsibilty for improvements.
