English - fables in class 2

This week we are learning about fables in class two. We have listened to a number of fables this morning and discussed the moral of each one and how they teach us a lesson to help guide us in life. 

The stories we listened to this morning were:

• The hare and the tortoise
• The fox and the stork
• The goose that laid the golden eggs
• The north wind and the sun
• The ant and the dove
• The lion and the mouse

Ask your child what they have learnt this morning and what the moral for each story was. Can they find out about any other fables and share the moral with the rest of the class?
