Class 4 visit to WW2 Experience

Today class 4 stepped into the time machine and were popped out in 1939, where we were found ourselves helping the war effort.  We were tested in the identificaton of key elements in reconnaisance photos, even identifying the German ship the Bismark hiding in a Norwegian fjord.  We worked for the SOE blending in as spies and perfecting our cover story before being interrogated.  We learnt and used morse code to assist the team at Bletchley and monitored and coordinated efforts in the war room for the D-Day landings, all before lunch!

A fascinating,appetite whetting taste of our new history topic.

Your children were everything we could have asked of them and threw themselves into all the activities.  I can't wait to see how they relate and apply their learning from today.
