Class 3 and 4 were fortunate today to learn from Elpi ( William’s mum ) how careers can evolve. Elpi, who successfully manages her Spa business in Tarleton, shared her life journey so far. We found out how her early ambitions of being a chemaical engineer changed when she started to be interested in business. Elpi developed many basic skills and knowledge through part time work, from as early as 15 years of age. These skills and knowledge were further enhanced when she completed her degree in business and then when she worked as a general manager assistant. A further masters degree in Business administration then unlocked the door to international work, when she became a business consultant, experiencing many different cultures and indeed many different business cultures. Eventually the bright lights of Chorley attracted Elpi to an accountancy firm there, where she continued her business consulting. Elpi persude  her passion for business at the same time as writing, she is an author of two books. William arrived and Elpi sold her first consultancy business. Four years ago she set up her Spa business with the help of William who helped to select her logo. We found out how having a positive attitude, being passionate and having an assortment of skills and knowledge are the keys to unlocking a rewarding career. Thank you Elpi for your inspirational talk and for sharing the twists and turns of your career with us. We wish you well in the future.☘️
