Class 4 start their Christmas collection for local homeless teenagers.

Date: 29th Nov 2020 @ 6:05pm

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Year 6 children would like to make a difference this Christmas.

We would like to put our faith into action and help others as Jesus taught us to.

Jesus says, “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” He continues, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35)

We have found a wonderful local charity, we would like to help; however, we need our Bretherton school family to help, as we cannot do it all by ourselves.  We need your help to improve the quality of life of many local homeless teenagers age 16 - 25 this Christmas.

We want to show them we care about them.

We would like you to help Bretherton school to contribute to a reverse advent calendar.  When taking a chocolate from your advent calendar, we would really appreciate it if you could put aside an item such as, toiletries, food, stationery, hygiene items, and maybe even chocolate! Just one or two donations during the Christmas season of Advent would be most welcome.

This wonderful charity has provided over 1000 homeless teenagers and young adults a home over the last 25 years.  If you would like to know more, please do have a look at their website, www.sleap.co.uk

To donate please add your donations to the box in your classroom at school before the 19th of December.

Thank you for your help, have a safe and happy Christmas.

From Joseph and my Year 6 friends
