Class 2 art - Making clay models

The children have been working hard this half term finding out lots of information about the beach. We have learnt about rock pool creatures and their habitats. Today, the children created a clay model of a rock pool creature. They could choose from a starfish (sea star), a sea anemone or a crab. The children tried hard to use skills such as rolling and smoothing, as well as using tools to create texture. 

Additionally, the children also researched independently this afternoon using the internet. They created a page of information all about hermit crabs, including subheadings and images.
